Who should take the PSCC training?
This training is intended for those interested in becoming a peer support worker, working in peer support, but without previous training, or those working in the field of peer support who are interested in a refresher.
How many people are accepted into each cohort?
We keep our training groups small, accepting approximately 25 participants per cohort to allow for group discussion and interactivity.
How often is this training run?
Frequency depends on the availability of our trainers, however we make every effort to run this training quarterly.
What is the typical format of delivery?
The Peer Support Core Competencies Training is conducted live, entirely online over Zoom. A typical training cohort runs two days a week for two hours per session over 16 weeks.
What kind of certificate will I earn?
This training earns you a certificate of completion.
What are the certificate requirements?
In order for you to earn your certificate you must be in attendance fully for the three mandatory sessions (Modules 2, 5 and 10) and not miss more than 4 hours of training in total. Please note that attendance is strictly taken.
What can I expect if I miss more than 4 hours of the training?
If you should happen to miss more than 4 hours of the training we will email you indicating that you no longer qualify for the certificate. In this even you are more than welcome to continue on with the learning experience. In order to receive a certificate we will require that you re-take the training from the beginning at a later date. We are a small but mighty team and we are unable to offer make-up sessions.

This training is free of charge.
