Our Commitment to Diversity
After authentic and impactful conversations with our staff we clearly heard that we need to do more to support meaningful change across our agency and that we need to do more to battle systemic racism. It will require awareness, analysis, expertise, learning, and action.
Support House has reignited our Diversity and Inclusion Committee in the fall of 2020 with a mandate to review our hiring, training and equity and diversity policies and practices across the agency in order to more adequately address systemic biases in our current practices. We are committed to lasting change and this is just the start.
As an agency, we stand in solidarity with Black Lives Matter. Confronting racism and discrimination must happen at every level – the status quo is not acceptable.
